Command Center UI changes
This release provides a modernised user interface with a refreshed visual design. It includes a new color palette for both light and dark themes, along with other aesthetic improvements to improve the overall look and feel of the product. Importantly, there are no changes to user workflows or core functionality — the user experience remains consistent and familiar. All navigational paths, interactions, and features will function as before.
For users who have applied custom themes or UI customizations, these will remain intact and won’t be overridden by the new color themes. The updated design will only apply to anyone using the default system themes.
Driver Inject for GCP VMs
Driver Inject for GCP VMs enables automated disaster recovery by deploying an injector node when no local access node is present. It attaches disks, injects drivers, and decommissions itself, eliminating manual effort. This feature saves time and reduces human error, enhancing reliability during critical recovery operations for customers.

With this feature, Commvault users can easily set up Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP workloads. The user-friendly wizard streamlines the onboarding process and reduces the risk of misconfiguration.
Additional Global Command Center Reports
Six company-level reports have been added to the Global Command Center: Aux Copy Job Details, File System Backup Health, Laptop Backup Health, Office 365 Backup Health, Dynamics 365 Backup Health, and Salesforce Backup Health. These reports give MSPs instant visibility into backup performance and resource usage, so you can detect issues sooner, optimise capacity, and improve reliability without manual data gathering.
Unified self-service onboarding for IaaS databases
Self-service onboarding makes it easier to set up MySQL and PostgreSQL database protection. Backup admins can easily configure protection for PostgreSQL and MySQL IaaS databases through a self-service wizard. This unified process enables quick and efficient onboarding, so users can independently manage their database configurations and improve operational efficiency.

File System TrueUp Optimisation
TrueUp is a process that compares the data backed up with the expected data, enabling data integrity and accuracy. However, it should only be run when needed to minimise any impact on system performance and resources and to avoid potential disruptions during the backup process.
Commvault has optimised the TrueUp process for the following iDAs:
- Windows and Unix File Systems
- NAS CIFS and NFS
- Changelist CIFS, NFS streaming (NetApp, Isilon, Nutanix, Qumulo)
- IntelliSnap backup copy CIFS, NFS, and changelist iDAs.
IntelliSnap backup of NetApp or Isilon CIFS shares using Linux access nodes
Customers running IntelliSnap backups of NetApp or Isilon CIFS shares can use Linux access nodes for increased security and better performance.
SaaS Applications and Active Directory
SaaS Apps: Allow tenant admins to edit copy properties associated to bundled storage
Tenant admins can now directly manage the compliance lock feature for SaaS application workloads with bundled storage, such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Google Workspace, Endpoints, and Salesforce. This capability allows tenant admins to toggle compliance lock on or off in the storage copy property section of the plan to perform delete operations if needed, while still adhering to the existing approval process. It is important to note that if the compliance lock is turned off, it must be manually re-enabled later.
Additionally, other properties in the storage policy copy section of the plan, like retention days, can now be edited. Please note that this retention value does not impact the following workloads: M365, Google Workspace, and Dynamics 365.
