This is partly because Amazon S3 Glacier Deep Archive is as much as 75 percent less expensive than S3 Glacier and provides retrieval within 12 hours using the Standard retrieval speed. You may also reduce retrieval costs by selecting Bulk retrieval, which will return data within 48 hours.

Amazon S3 Glacier Deep Archive is also designed for the same 99.999999999 percent durability as the S3 Standard and S3 Glacier storage classes and is designed for 99.9 percent availability.
