The blistering native read/write speed of 1.44 TB/hr and 45TB* capacity on a single StoreEver LTO-9 cartridge, coupled with the outstanding performance of the LTO-9 Ultirum Tape Drives makes for an ideal solution for large-scale, always-on, mission-critical IT environments. 

HPE StoreOpen and Linear Tape File System allows you to store data in an open format so the tape is self-describing and file-based - meaning tape is as easy, flexible, portable and intuitive as any other removable and shareable media like a USB drive. 

HPE LTO-9 StoreEver tape is four orders of magnitude more reliable than an enterprise SATA hard disk. As for data loss, it is estimated that over a period of 10 years for a 1 Exabyte archive, tape stands at only 7.4 Terabytes compared to 1.1 Petabytes for HDD.

HPE StoreEver offers one of the highest levels of data security by providing a true air gap between your data and the outside world, as well as built-in AES 256-bit encryption. Your data is protected and secured while addressing compliance quickly and with fewer cartridges.
