Critical Workloads
Azure Blob and ADLS Gen2 inventory report scanning.
Azure BLOB and ADLS Gen2 scan time is significantly reduced on large storage accounts by using inventory reports to list objects. This applies to newly onboarded Azure Blob and ADLS Gen 2 accounts.

The following additional permissions are required to configure and read the inventory report configuration; this is needed to automatically configure inventory reports on very large storage accounts to optimize backup strategy.

Object storage automatic allocation of streams for backup
With this update, the number of concurrent streams the backup will use is calculated after the scan has generated the list of objects to be protected. This will be implemented for all object storage backups.
VM Guest File Restore with Cold Storage Recall
The VM Guest File Restore with Cold Storage Recall feature enables backup operators and system administrators to recover archived VM files from cloud cold storage easily. By staging data in primary storage and allowing user control over the recall process, it provides a streamlined experience, enhancing recovery
reliability and providing progress tracking, thus minimizing disruptions.
Enable Backup and Restore of Free-Form Tags for OCI establishes continuity by preserving operational metadata during Oracle Cloud Infrastructure instance and volume recoveries. IT administrators can easily apply tags again without having to
enter them manually. This saves time and keeps things the same after backups are restored.
On Prem Workloads
Enable Commvault VSA compatibility with Proxmox VE 9
Commvault VSA’s native support for Proxmox VE 9 allows streamlined backup and recovery operations. Customers efficiently protect their virtual environments without manual interventions or third-party tools, enhancing reliability and convenience. Full system integration streamlines processes, establishing the highest levels of security and functionality across all Proxmox VE platforms.
Windows 1-Touch: Minisetup Removal and Post-Boot Script Support
Minisetup Option Removed
The Minisetup option has been removed from 1-Touch recovery; previously, it always needed to be disabled.
Automatic Post-Boot Script Execution
Users can now include custom scripts in a designated folder on the WinPE ISO. These scripts will automatically execute upon system boot after a 1-Touch recovery, enabling greater automation and customization.
